What is the Saudi Family Residence Visa?

The Family Residence Visa allows eligible expatriate residents in Saudi Arabia to sponsor immediate family members for long-term stay. Commonly known as the Dependent Iqama Visa, this visa permits family members to live, study, and access healthcare services in the Kingdom.

Who can Apply

Indian nationals who are already working in Saudi Arabia on a valid Iqama (residency permit) can sponsor:

  • Spouse (husband or wife)

  • Children (typically under 18 years)

  • Parents (under certain conditions, based on income and job title)

Documents Required for Residence Visa (Indian Applicants)

The documents generally required include:

  • A copy of the first and last pages of the passport.
  • Photocopies of passport pages containing any conditions, notes, visa data or stamp must be submitted.
  • If applicants hold any previous passport, the same is required to be submitted in the original
  • If the applicant has an existing valid visa in the same passport, regardless of the visa type, a visa cancellation form must be submitted.
  • Copy of Sponsor passport. (first and last page)

  • 2inch x 2inch (51 mm x 51 mm

  • Not older than 3 months 

  • White background with frontal view

  • Copy of the sponsors Saudi ID / Iqama
  • Original Medical Certificate approved by GCC for applicants 12 years & above.
  • Pre-approval letter / Visit permit issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Name on invitation/pre-approval letter must be same as mentioned on the passport (Sponsor/Applicant).

  • Original Polio Certificate along with Arabic translation should be apostille from MEA or attested by Royal Consulate General of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must be mandatorily submitted..
