Sports Tower in Riyadh Planned to Be the Tallest in the World

Riyadh to design Worlds tallest sports tower

Riyadh’s Sports Boulevard development has received approval for the design of the world’s tallest sports tower. This landmark project is part of a $23 billion initiative launched in 2019 to enhance the capital’s green spaces and cultural offerings.

Led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, the sports tower will stand 130 meters tall and encompass 84,000 square meters of internal space. It will feature over 30 sports facilities, including the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall at 98 meters and a 250-meter running track with digital enhancements.

Spanning 135 kilometers, the Sports Boulevard will connect west to east Riyadh with green pathways for pedestrians, cyclists, athletes, and horse riders. The development includes over 4.4 million square meters of greenery and up to 50 sports facilities.

The project designates over three million square meters for distinctive destinations and investment zones, highlighting Riyadh’s commitment to economic growth and sustainable urban development.

Riyadh’s upcoming sports tower represents a significant step towards integrating recreational excellence, environmental sustainability, and community engagement into the city’s urban fabric. Stay tuned as this transformative project unfolds.
